Female and beer

Like any other countries, drinking beer is more male culture, not females in Korea. When there is a girl who is very passionate to enjoy drinking beer and good at it, she is considered to be not feminine, which seems like she is lack of woman's charm. A girl even tries to make beer like me, she's totally geek. (Anyone in the office where I work have no idea about what I do with beer. Fun!)

I'd like to know how women who loves beer and beer industry in North America think of themselves and what is going to happen in the field. I did some google research, and found lots of inspiring stories around the beer industry in US and Canada.

Being a brewer is hard job for both gender, is harder for female at some point. Thinking about me, I would be less taller, less stronger, and with less physical endurance compare to male colleagues. However, there were many talented and brave women who stepped forward and proved that women have contributed a lot in the history of the craft beer. They know there is some challenges for them, but also know how to support, encourage, unite each other. This is really inspiring. I am glad to know stories of them.
